I'm Jesse McLean, a designer who codes (sometimes referred to as a "design engineer") based in Calgary, Canada. My interests are in information architecture and content design, and shaping the experiences that make interacting with them possible. I also write and speak about these things.

I work at Built by Field, a design and technology studio I founded in 2018. We're a deliberately small, focused team creating highly precise and technically sound websites, apps, and brand identities for clients across Canada and the United States. I also help fundraise for local charities with an online platform I co-founded in 2017, enabling over half a million dollars for local charities to date.
