About the project

This is a project I've been working on intermittently in my free time over the past six months. It's not related to work or for anyone else; it's solely for my own benefit and learning. About a year ago, I slowly started collecting old figures from a '90s toy series called Littlest Pet Shop by Kenner. I had some of these toys myself and absolutely loved them. As an adult, it's a special luxury to hunt for such treasures at second-hand markets and on eBay, etc., and I really enjoy it.

I didn't quite know what to do with the ever-growing collection until I realized it could become this year's "cozy coding project." So here we are! It has come together along the way, but I've tried to do things in a smart and maintainable way. There are many connections and so much I'd like to show, but in the end, I just had to say that enough is enough and instead focus on getting some content out. My plans also include making some cute drawings of the animals, but for now I only have one drawing out. I need more hours in the day!

In my daily life, I work as a front-end developer and enjoy working with Sanity and Next. I'm pleased with how it has turned out but would have loved to have a designer on the team as well! That's one of the hardest things, I think. And photography. Alongside the project, I've also set up my own Instagram at @mylpsproject.

I've also focused on making an accessible site. You should be able to use the site with ease using screen readers and keyboard.
