Announcing: Sanity Community Ambassador Program
Throughout the past five years, we’ve launched many initiatives to help folks get started with Sanity and create opportunities for those with more experience to give newcomers a hand with their projects. It’s essential that we scale our inclusive and collaborative community culture. With this in mind, we are ecstatic to announce the launch of the Sanity Community Ambassador Program!

Developer Relations and Strategic Community DEI Efforts at Sanity.io
Technology is about more than just the code and the tools we use. It is as much about the people who use it and how they learn, grow, and solve things together. Sanity encapsulates that on two levels: It’s a platform that lets teams collaborate on content problems, big and small, from content creation to implementation, wherever it needs to go. But it also represents a modern way of building digital experiences with evolved architectures, frameworks, and composable services.
That’s why community is important to us who are building Sanity and the people who are building with Sanity. In fact, it is one of the things we keep hearing from our customers: The active, inclusive, and helpful Sanity community is a killer feature. For us, it provides an invaluable stream of feedback and insights, but for most, it’s a place where you can grow, be inspired, and pay it forward by helping others.
History of the Sanity Community
Community is a feeling of fellowship with others as a result of common interests and goals. For the Sanity.io community, these interests and goals revolve around building smarter and better experiences with composable content. Since 2018, the community has been a gathering place for practitioners, learners, and professionals.
Many developers and technologists who are early in their career and learning journey are joining the community. This is fantastic!
The Ambassadors Program
The Sanity Community Ambassador Program aims to gather and help those who generously want to share their knowledge and insight from building with Sanity. We are stoked to be able to announce the first cohort, a group of enthusiastic and intriguing individuals who have been especially active and helpful.
With the Ambassador Program, we want to support people who are active in the community and amplify their enthusiasm. At the same time, we want to help folks learn, collaborate, and network, with workshops on technical writing, video production, public speaking, and community management. Also, ambassadors receive early access to new features and releases!
This also means that in 2023, you’ll see more content from our ambassadors, like blog posts and videos. And like this meetup talk that Jonathan Alford gave last year, on demystifying Sanity for the customers of his agency:
The first cohort
In the past few months, we’ve onboarded our first cohort of Sanity Community Ambassadors. They joined us because they want to make content for Sanity and help grow the community.
Meet the first group of ambassadors:
- Adeleke Isreal Ayooluwax
- Alex Patterson
- Andrea Giachetto
- Christopher Pecoraro
- Jonathan Alford
- Kitty Giraudel
- Mark Tucker
- Mario Giancini
- Olawuni Olukunle
- Ryan Murray
- Vincent Florio
You can recognize them in the Slack community from their emoji. Feel free to reach out to them (in public channels). Join us in the community at sanity.io/exchange, the community Slack workspace, GitHub discussions, and in conversations on other social platforms.
