Overview
Sanctuary Computer (sanctu • compu) is a technology studio in Chinatown, NYC. We partner with great designers to build compelling digital products for industry leaders, early-to-mid stage startups, hardware companies and restaurant groups.
We’re a small team of makers focused on building just a few high quality products each year. Unlike most agencies, our process is lean and nimble, optimized for shipping high grade work quickly, and with precision.
The best results stem from a diversity of perspectives and a tight feedback loop. We carefully pair the right people with the right project, and connect clients with creatives to ensure projects are realized to the highest degree.

Setting expectations is important. We work like your embedded product team, and we bill between $175 to $225 per hour, pending the tech stack. Most weeks, we'll bill between 32 and 40 hours per person, and it's pretty rare that a project we take on is under ten person weeks of work.

In order to improve the editor experience, lowering bandwidth costs, and overall administrative burden, we replatformed Hinge's CMS from Strapi to Sanity.

Cocoon
Under the hood of Cocoon's online booking platform, we synchronize product and bookable event data into Sanity, allowing us to splice eCommerce data with content and allow for rich page layouts.

Mill
We used Sanity to power the content in both the cross-platform app & website behind Mill, a vertically integrated composting system for the circular economy.
Tablet Magazine
We re-platformed the Jewish cultural institution, Tablet Mag, from Wordpress to Sanity, allowing for engaging page layouts, a heightened editor experience and snappy response times.
